Dearly beloved
As the years add up, God's faithfulness multiplies. So many times, the Lord has helped us and answered our prayers and given strength anew. The most important thing that we can do is to love God. That means, we love God with our whole heart, soul and mind. As we are preparing to gather together during the first week of July in Atlanta, GA, it is my prayer that we all grow in the Love of God. When we grow in the Love of God, we become overcomers and every hindrances in our way will be eliminated.
Welcome!! I greet you in the matchless name of Our Lord Jesus. Having accepted the responsibility as PCNAK convener due to the homegoing of our beloved Pastor George Thomas, I am looking forward to see a conference that we can remember always in our life. The world is on the brink of collapse, but we are challenged to fullfill the call. The call to us is to Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel of Jeus Christ. The harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few. My recent visit to Russia, Bangladesh and India reminds me that millions of perishing souls are in need of salvation, guidance and wisdom. Who can give the hope to the perishing souls. You, my dear young brothers and sisters are on the pivotal position to fulfill the task. Are you willing to take up the challenge?
My challenge to my young friends is that you become a missionary. May be a medical missionary, a missionary of education, a missionary to eradicate starvation through the proclaiming of the Gospel. Recently, Dr. Earl Young from Colorado, a great Dental Doctor made his thrid trip to India. He is 66 years old, but have a great passion to serve the people. I watched him serving the villagers with passion, love and dedication. Why should an American needs to come to India to do such a job, when hundreds of Doctors and professionals of Indian origin are here doing nothing for their own homeland. Is it not the time that we come out of the closet, take up the challege and do something tangible for the kingdom? The word of God says Be ye doers of the word. That means show our love to our neighbors, our own coutrymen by extending the Love of Christ.
My challenge to my young friends is that you be a student of the word: We are busy with many things. But the question is, are we spending time at the feet of the Master? If not, dedicate your time to meditate the word. The word is the light. We need light. If we don't spend time studying the word, then we are walking in darkness. Would you please take time to meditate on the word daily? Then, you will see great things.
My challenge to my young friends is that you Pray, Pray and Pray:I have seen many times, people prepare, spend and organize but no time spent in prayer. Ultimately we see conferences of emptiness, meetings of pomp and pride but not a single soul saved. Meetings of sound, but no glory. Meetings that lift people but no Christ. Meetings of barren promises, not a single healing. I am looking forward to see that hundreds of souls saved, re-committed, filled with the power of Holy Spirit and come out as missionaries who are willing to sacrifice their life for Christ.
My Challenge to my young friends is that you go for a Mission Trip: A real mission trip change your life; change your attitude; change your mind about life. Find a right leader who will be able to take you to that level. Couple of years ago, a young medical Doctor came to India with us on a Medical Camp. On her return, her Mom watched her and after couple of months she asked me a question " Thampy, what did you guys do to my daughter? She is a completely changed person". My answer to her mom was that "Christ did the real work in her. She saw what is poverty, pain and darkness. Then she was able to extend the love of Christ through her profession. That is what changed her life." Are you willing to take up such a challenge. Go for a Missions Trip.
Well, let me cut short. Dearly beloved, please come with great expectation and prayer. A number of great preachers and teachers are lined up for the conference. You will see great things, if you come with prayer. God bless.
Your brother and servant
Thampy Mathew
